On July 7, 2011, the body of 69 year old Richard Oland was found in the office of his investment firm in New Brunswick, Canada. Discovered by his personal assistant, Richard had been bludgeoned to death. He was the CEO of Moosehead Breweries, a pillar of the community, and his family was one of the wealthiest in New Brunswick. His son was charged with the murder, but a botched police investigation led to the verdict being overturned. The trial was one of the longest and most expensive in New Brunswick's history.
