On October 11, 1975 television sketch comedy experienced a seismic shift as NBC's Saturday Night made its premiere. Over the course of it's first five seasons, characters were created and stars were made, kicking off a cycle that continues over 40 years later. Carvel Ice Cream Cakes. If you grew up on the East Coast, you remember Tom Carvel's gravely voice talking about their many ice cream offerings, but at the top of those sweet treats sit two titans: Cookie Puss, the alien from the planet Birthday who's here to brighten your day, and Fudgie the Whale - for a whale of a dad. Mark and Hal were able to secure both cakes (with some help from our friends at Carvel) and put them both through the wringer to settle once and for all which cake is king!
