Charlotteans could soon find out who will fill the open seat on the Charlotte City Council. The District 6 vacancy has sparked weeks of interest, and Monday night, council members are set to make their pick.
After more than a month without representation in District 6, Charlotte City Council is expected to announce who will fill the vacant seat — and the list of candidates has drawn plenty of attention.
All applicants had to be registered Republicans and live within District 6. Initially, twelve people applied — including community activists, a conservative columnist, former council members, and even former District 6 councilmember Tariq Bokhari’s wife, Krista Bokhari.
