Leaders at Union County Public Schools met to discuss increasing the number of school resource officers at Thursday night's Board of Education meeting. Before the meeting, only one deputy was assigned to two elementary schools at Union County Public Schools. Now, the goal is for every school to have an officer, and only six of the 39 Union County officers will have to work at two schools.
