Students in underserved communities are no stranger to challenges, but Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools leaders say those challenges don't define their futures.
As the Trump administration continues to push for budget cuts, CMS leaders like Stephanie Sneed are asking U.S. representatives to pump the brakes. They said without proper funding, academic and health challenges will continue to grow, and are urging U.S. representatives to protect what they're calling critical benefits.
"The students that'll be impacted the most are the students that need the most," Sneed said.
