The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department bomb squad responded to Pine Mountain Road, not far from Mt. Holly-Huntersville Road, after the discovery of "an old, possibly hazardous device." The bomb squad was active at a private home in northwest Charlotte where the device was found.
