Charlotte City Council voted on Monday to approve next year’s $3.6 billion budget — a spending plan that impacts everything from taxes to youth programs.

Councilwoman Dimple Ajmera, who chairs the city’s budget committee, said one of their biggest priorities this year was supporting youth. That’s reflected in some of the final funding decisions.
