The Charlotte Metropolitan Transit Commission approved a fare evasion resolution that will increase fare enforcement after the suspect in the stabbing of Iryna Zarutska was on the light rail without a ticket.
Security on public transit will prioritize checking riders for a ticket or pass as a part of daily duties.
