Medical science has firmly established the importance of regular prenatal care for pregnant women.
But in Chicago, that care is not guaranteed for the city’s newly arriving migrants.
Of the more than 15-thousand who have arrived in Chicago so far, Cook county officials say they have treated more than 200 expectant mothers.
