The Chicago Transit Authority’s apprenticeship program called “Second Chance” aims to help people with criminal records and other barriers to employment.
But a new investigation from the Chicago Sun-Times finds that the CTA has hired a small percentage of its apprentices into full-time jobs with benefits.
And some apprentices believe the CTA took advantage of them.
