Riley Cornelio, a 25-year-old right-handed pitcher for the Washington Nationals, had a meteoric rise through the minors last season, earning the Nationals Minor League Pitcher of the Year award and a spot on their 40-man roster. Born in Hawaii and raised in various states due to his fathers military career, Cornelio developed a love for baseball under his fathers guidance.
