Show Notes
Jorge Rueda Landeros, convicted of second-degree murder in the 2010 killing of Sue Marcum, receives a 25-year sentence. Landeros, who had a romantic relationship with Marcum, was found guilty last November for beating her with a liquor bottle, strangling her, and staging a burglary. The judge cited Landeros betrayal of trust, savage attack, and staged scene as reasons for the stiff sentence. Landeros, who lived freely for over a decade, will serve 1,178 days already served, leaving him with plenty of time behind bars. The sentence brings closure to Marcums family and resolves a painful chapter for Montgomery County.
