Tragic Wrong-Way Crash in Woodbridge, Virginia: Two Killed, One Injured
A fatal wrong-way crash in Woodbridge, Virginia, claimed the lives of two people and left one injured. The incident occurred on Sunday evening at Cardinal Drive and Whips Run Drive, involving three vehicles. The driver of a Hyundai Genesis, heading the wrong way in the eastbound lanes, collided head-on with a Hyundai Santa Fe, causing it to crash into a nearby GMC Hummer. The Santa Fes driver and passenger, Amanda Chaloupka and Patrick Michael Chaloupka, both aged forty, died in the hospital. The Genesis driver, a twenty-seven-year-old woman, sustained life-threatening injuries and remains hospitalized. The Hummer driver, a twenty-three-year-old man, escaped unharmed. Investigators are still determining the cause of the crash and have not filed charges. Witnesses are urged to contact Prince William County Police with any information.
