Show Notes
Spring temperatures across US cities have risen significantly, with 98% warming by an average of 2.6°F from 1970 to 2025. Southern cities, particularly the Southwest, South, and Southeast, experienced the most substantial increases. Human-caused climate change, primarily due to heat-trapping pollution from fossil fuels, accounts for at least half the warming in 98% of cities. Winters have also warmed, with the Upper Midwest, Alaska, and the Northeast seeing the most significant increases.
