No new federal stimulus checks are coming this spring, as the last round ended in 2021 and Congress hasnt approved anything new. The IRS finished sending out up to $1,400 per person for unclaimed recovery rebate credits from 2021 taxes. President Trumps proposed $2,000 tariff dividend check, funded by import taxes, was struck down by the Supreme Court. Other ideas like a DOGE dividend from government efficiency cuts havent happened due to inflation concerns. A one-time $1,776 warrior dividend was paid to about 1.5 million service members from military housing funds. Economists warn against stimulus scams promising fake checks. Tax refunds are expected to be around $4,167 this season, with averages expected to increase due to recent law changes. Folks qualifying for earned income tax credits or child tax credits could see money by early March if using direct deposit.
