Carter Camacho, an 18-year-old, faces federal charges for carrying a loaded shotgun onto Capitol grounds on February 17th. Surveillance footage shows him running towards the south steps with the weapon, wearing camouflage and what appeared to be body armor. Capitol Police officers quickly confronted him, leading to his arrest without incident. Investigators found the shotgun fully loaded with eight rounds and extra ammo nearby. Camacho claims he wanted to speak with a member of Congress. His arraignment is set for Thursday morning.
