Inside Out: Dignity and the Art of Seeing exhibit unveils life within U.S. prisons through photos, videos, and artifacts from the Arts in Prisons program at Lorton Reformatory and DC Jail. Initiated by photographer Karen Ruckman, the program taught incarcerated men photography skills, fostering respect and peace. Participants, like Bernard Seaborn, now use these skills in filmmaking. The exhibit, running through March 6th, showcases negatives, cameras, and a darkroom, and partners with reentry groups for letter-writing stations.
