Experience the cherry blossom season in Washington D.C. with Metros limited edition SmarTrip cards and themed trains and buses. The cards, featuring artwork by Tim Yanke, go on sale Friday at nine a.m. at key stations. Blue buses and trains wrapped in pink and white petals will also hit the streets and tracks. This marks the fourth year for the wrapped vehicles, with this years theme all lines lead to bloom. Metro will also join festival events like the Kite Festival, Petalpalooza, the Cherry Blossom Parade, and the ten miler. Peak bloom is expected between March twenty-ninth and April first.
