Two men from Southeast Washington D.C. have been arrested for shooting a U.S. Park Police officer during an undercover operation. The officer, now recovering, was shot in the upper body and driven to a hospital by fellow officers. The suspects, Darren Foster and Asheile Foster, face charges of assault on a federal police officer with a gun, which could result in up to twenty years in prison if convicted. Authorities believe the suspects knew the driver was a police officer.
