Warrior Games

The 2016 Warrior Games is in full swing and today's events included track and field, athletes demonstrated their skills in numerous adaptive sporting events. Approximately 250 athletes representing teams from the Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Coast Guard, Air Force and U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) as well as the British Armed Forces are participating in the 2016 Warrior Games competition.

The 2016 DoD Warrior Games are nearing the halfway point with day three's archery events completed. At the end of day three Team Army leads the medal count with 114 medals, Team Air Force with 59 medals, and third is team Navy with 34 medals. Approximately 250 athletes representing teams from the Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Coast Guard, Air Force and U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) as well as the United Kingdom (UK) Military Forces are participating in the 2016 Warrior Games competition.

The 2016 DoD Warrior Games here at the Unites States Military Academy in West Point New York are winding down with the completion of the day’s swimming events. Approximately 250 athletes representing teams from the Army, Marine Corps, Navy/Coast Guard, Air Force and U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) as well as the U.K. Armed Forces are participating in 2016 Warrior Games competition.

It's another one in the books with the end of the 2016 DoD Warrior Games here at the United States Military Academy in West Point, New York. Approximately 250 athletes representing teams from the Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Coast Guard, Air Force and U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) as well as the United Kingdom (UK) Military Forces are participating in the 2016 Warrior Games competition.

At the closing ceremony of the 2016 DOD Warrior Games, it was announced that the games will move to Chicago to be hosted by the Navy in 2017.

On this look around the Air Force, the Air Force plans to retire the MQ-1, the Air Force Warrior Games trials are underway, and a C-5 Galaxy transported Apache helicopters for the Army. Hosted by SSgt Traci Keller.

Air Force athletes compete to be on the 2017 Air Force Wounded Warrior Team. The winners will be competing at the 2017 DoD Warrior Games in Chicago June 30 - July 8, 2017.

The 2017 Department of Defense Warrior Games kicked off in Chicago, Friday, June 30th and will go until July 8th.
