2016 Warrior Games Daily Update: Track and Field 06.16.16
The 2016 Warrior Games is in full swing and today's events included track and field, athletes demonstrated their skills in numerous adaptive sporting events. Approximately 250 athletes representing teams from the Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Coast Guard, Air Force and U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) as well as the British Armed Forces are participating in the 2016 Warrior Games competition.

The 2016 DoD Warrior Games are nearing the halfway point with day three's archery events completed. At the end of day three Team Army leads the medal count with 114 medals, Team Air Force with 59 medals, and third is team Navy with 34 medals. Approximately 250 athletes representing teams from the Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Coast Guard, Air Force and U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) as well as the United Kingdom (UK) Military Forces are participating in the 2016 Warrior Games competition.

At the closing ceremony of the 2016 DOD Warrior Games, it was announced that the games will move to Chicago to be hosted by the Navy in 2017.
