Judge Longoria in Corpus Christi, Texas sentences a woman to 5 years probation, a fine and parenting classes, all because she spanked her child in public. How could this Biblical form of discipline have found such disfavor in the eyes of this judge? Why is it that spanking has become so counter-cultural? There is a statute in Texas law that specifically allows for spanking as a form of discipline. Equally disturbing is the fact that this judge completely ignored the law.
