Hello Travelers! In our opinion, there's no better place to be for old fashioned holiday atmosphere than the Echo Lake area of Disney's Hollywood Studios in December. Hear the crooners sing the classic holiday tunes amid the sounds of a bustling crowd right at dusk. The incredible tree with traditional decor is at the far side of the lake, with Gertie and her hat the left, and right in front of your is the completely calm Echo Lake with floating multicolored lights. Near the end, take a short stroll with us away from the lake and down Hollywood Blvd toward the park entrance. This is a short one but packed with good vibes. Hello Travelers! Join us this week for a very low-key stroll through the village of Harambe in Disney's Animal Kingdom. We start off listening to live music which is once again in Harambe! Hear the musician play the African harp (kora) as he interacts with the guests. We then take a walk through the village, hunting down some of the excellent signage, and ending up in the Harambe Market where we hear the Wildlife Express train as it travels by us. Hear the rumbling thunder as we begin our journey near the Tree of Life shortly after a central Florida summer thunderstorm rolled through. We make our way toward DinoLand USA and ride Dinosaur together, and then walk to Asia where I snag a table at the bar at Yak and Yeti for a quick dinner, and then rejoin you for a stroll over toward Harambe. Together we explore some of the signage of Harambe Market, because of course we do. Lastly, we end the episode near the floating mountains of Pandora. We celebrate episode 20 with a trip to Disney's Animal Kingdom where we take in the Celebration of the Festival of the Lion King show, recently returned to the stage in the theater district of Harambe. The entire cast delivered a stunning performance, and we are excited to share it with you. Hello Travelers! A trip to Epcot is in store for you this week - we met friends from California for a meal in Le Cellier and after they joined us to record this week's episode intro. Heather and I then ventured from the France pavilion back to The Land area for another ride through Living with the Land since the plastic seat dividers are now gone, and we record as we walk. We then (finally) record one of our favorite attractions - Soarin' Around the World. We end the episode next to ImageWorks where the leaping fountains are now leaping once again. Something a little different for this episode is that we recorded with two devices - our normal 4 channel surround sound mic, as well as a new binaural mic, and layered the audio for what I hope is an even more immersive sound.
