Show Notes
Heather Craig wrote a fantastic article about the research behind the benefits of gratitude, and I invited her to discuss this research on the podcast. What I didn't know is that Heather has a deeply personal gratitude practice and an incredible story of her own battle with anorexia nervosa. Content warning – as Heather bravely shares her story and how she almost took her own life. Heather used many gratitude tools, as well as keeping a Happiness Diary (Gretchen Rubin) as part of her recovery. Heather Craig, BPsySc. (Hons), is a provisional psychologist, Monash University, Melbourne, Victoria. Her current research projects investigate the relationship between optimism and health outcomes in older Australian adults. https://positivepsychology.com/gratitude-research/
