Show Notes

King Mosiah calls a great conference, including the people of Zarahemla (Jewish descendants of Mulek), the Nephites who came with King Mosiah, the Nephite people of Zeniff and the converts of Alma. All become Nephites. Mosiah, through the Urim and Thummim, translates the Jaredite plates. He appoints Alma to organize the Church throughout Zarahemla.

Key moments discussed are Alma’s role as church president, instructions on church discipline and forgiveness, the crisis of a rebellious generation, and the dramatic angelic conversion of Alma's son, Alma the Younger along with the four sons of Mosiah. Now converted, Alma the Younger declares that he has been born again, changed from his carnal state to a state of righteousness.

The 4 sons of Mosiah plead with the King to allow them to return to the land of Nephi to preach the gospel to the Lamanites. King Mosiah inquires of the Lord and is promised that his sons will convert many and will be protected, thus Mosiah allows his sons to depart.

King Mosiah takes all the sacred and historical records and entrusts them to Alma the Younger to preserve and protect.
