Show Notes

Today we learn some basics of braille as earlier this month on the 4th of January it was World Braille Day where the birthday of braille inventor Louis Braille is celebrated. The day recognizes the contributions of Louis Braille in helping blind and visually impaired people to read and write.

This is Mnelisi Zungu who is a member of the Kwazulu Natal Society for the Blind. Mnelisi is visually impaired and had to learn braille in order to advance himself. He has been teaching braille for more than 12 years, he is currently unemployed but volunteers at the Kwazulu Natal Society for the Blind.
Mnelisi has an N6 in Public Administration and computer literacy.
