In zijn boek ‘Vredeskoers’ wekt Steven Bulté de beruchte ‘Ronde van de witte duif’ tot leven. De meest prestigieuze wielerronde in het communistische Oostblok werd elk jaar in mei tussen Warschau, Berlijn en Praag gereden. Het ideaal? Vrede tussen de volkeren. De auteur fietst de editie van 1967 na, in het spoor van de enige Belgische eindwinnaar van de Vredeskoers ooit: Marcel ‘de vredesduif’ Maes.
