Tonight on Sunday Night Playhouse, Noel Coward's comedic play, "Blithe Spirit".
The play centres around novelist and socialite Charles Condomine who invites eccentric clairvoyant medium Madame Arcati to his home to conduct a seance to gather material for his next book.
Comedy ensues with hilarious twists and turns along the way as Charles is haunted by ghosts and needs to find a way to exorcise them. The play was first performed on stage in London's West End in 1941 and later two film versions in as recent as 2020.
This radio adaptation was broadcasted by ABC on February 23rd, 1947 and starred Clifton Webb, Leonara Corbett and Mildred Natwick.
