Our saga begins in Hjálpmakaar, the northernmost inhabited remnant of empire, and the last best hope for Midgard to recover from the Great Winter.
The PCs are asked to escort a dying man on his last journey only to find themselves drawn into a bitter blood feud. Will they outwit or outfight their rivals, and forge the bonds of friendship and trust they need to carry on to even greater adventures?
Or are they already on the first step of the Stairway to Valhalla?
