Show Notes

Don Daglow started making games on PDP-10s in the 70s, before becoming one of the first developers for the Intellivision, creating the groundbreaking strategy title Utopia. Later, he went on to be an early producer at EA and Broderbund, helping bring us classics like Racing Destruction Set, Shufflepuck Cafe (a personal favorite of mine), Prince of Persia, SimCity and Where in Europe is Carmen Sandiego.

We explore these early years of his career, the nature of the business back then and how we could have had a Star Wars RPG back in the 80s in this first half of our 2 part interview.
