Just as the Israelites remembered God’s mercy during Passover, Jesus gave us communion as a way to remember His sacrifice. The bread reminds us of His broken body, and the cup reminds us of His blood shed for us. As we come to the table, we remember the Lamb of God who gave His life so we could have new life.

In Luke 10, Jesus appoints and sends out the seventy-two. He tells them the harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Then He sends them.
