This past weekend, we learned about the prophet Elijah in 1 King’s 18 and how his obedience to God's divine commission made way for God’s provision during a long season of drought in Israel. Elijah's obedience in declaring the return of rain reminds us that God can use us as instruments of change and hope in our trying moments.May we find inspiration in Elijah's journey and let our resolve, desires, and compassion lead us into a deeper relationship with The God of Fire and Rain!

This past weekend was powerful and exciting as we launched our fall groups. Pastor Paul also introduced a new series, Prophets, and shared the story of Elijah and The Uncanny Provision of Godin his life.Through this message, we learn that because of Elijah’s boldness and obedience, the Lord provided for him in times of drought and adversity. His story teaches us valuable lessons, including the importance of divine timing, recognizing God's unconventional methods, the power of obedience, and the transformative power of proclaiming the name of Jesus.In a world filled with uncertainty and challenges, stories of divine provision and unexpected blessings are a source of inspiration and faith.May we all be inspired by Elijah's story and experience the uncanny provision of God in our lives, trusting that He works in ways we may not always understand but are always for our good. This weekend we heard a message from Terry Henshaw on the Heart Of God. The Heart Of God shows us how we can transform the lives around us through compassion & service. In this message, Pastor Terry recounted a personal experience where a simple act of kindness in a grocery store paved the way for a life-altering opportunity for a young lady. He also shared stories about the collaborative efforts with City Serve Oklahoma and 180 Disaster Relief, showcasing how these endeavors offer hope and essential resources to individuals facing crises. Through stories like these and many others we saw how acts of compassion can make a significant difference in our community.Pastor Terry highlighted the importance of putting compassion into practice, drawing inspiration from the parable of the Good Samaritan. By answering God's call and embracing opportunities to assist others, each one of us has the potential to initiate transformative change within our communities.

The message this weekend, Holy Pivot, examined the significance of altering one's direction to achieve positive change.A Holy Pivot is a pivotal shift that is often rooted in faith and purpose, as exemplified by Nehemiah's determination to overcome intimidation and discouragement. Just as an athlete adjusts their course during a game, we too can pivot towards new paths, breaking free from the grip of fear and embracing the challenges that lie ahead. By discarding excuses and aligning ourselves with God's vision, we are empowered to overcome obstacles and journey towards a life filled with purpose, fulfillment and impact. The world of challenges that we face can be navigated through intentional shifts in mindset, ultimately leading us from defeat to victory. Just as Nehemiah inspired a community to rebuild their wall, we too can inspire growth, restoration and transformation through embracing the concept of holy pivoting.

This weekend we learned the importance of focus in our latest sermon, “Focus Is The New Superpower.” In a world where distractions vie for our attention, the concept of focus has emerged as the “New Superpower” we can use in our every day lives. We explored the significance of focus, drawing inspiration from the biblical tale of Nehemiah and its real-world applications.Nehemiah, an ordinary man with extraordinary focus, exemplifies the impact of unwavering dedication. His story, recounted in Nehemiah chapter 6, showcases how his resolute determination to rebuild Jerusalem's wall led to remarkable transformations on both personal and national levels.There is incredible power in singular focus. Nehemiah's laser-sharp attention towards a specific goal highlights the principle that channeling energy into a singular objective can yield substantial outcomes across all of life’s domains.In a world teeming with distractions, the story of Nehemiah serves as a timeless reminder of the power of focus. Whether we're rebuilding walls or chasing personal aspirations, the ability to tune out distractions and maintain a laser-like concentration can yield transformative results.

Continuing Pastor Paul’s series over Nehemiah, we are told that everyone carries “A Dream Worth Building.” With divine purpose from God comes a divine burden, and this is the beginning of building toward a God dream. Many people live to exist, but believers live with the purpose the Lord places within us.To commit to God’s dreams in our lives, we must remain full of encouragement for ourselves and others, pushing forward to what lies ahead. God is asking you to show up now and fully put yourself in His plans. No matter the circumstances, we can rise above the enemy’s tactics and stay faithful in love and obedience to the dream.God dreams happen in God’s timing as we follow His voice in complete surrender. Listen to the divine burden in your heart and allow the Lord to bring you into His dreams for your life.

“The Beauty of a Divine Burden” kicked off a new series over Nehemiah by Pastor Paul. In the Bible, Nehemiah was a cupbearer who served the Lord faithfully through obedience, prayer and fasting. His like is marked by God-given burdens that influenced the people of God. As believers, we should receive healthy burdens from God’s heart that stir us into action. The burdens in our lives are either distractions from God’s purpose or directions to God’s purpose, and we have to discern the divine ones. What if you hold the solutions to the greatest problems you see? Each person carries a unique burden that God has designed specifically for His plan in the world. Though we feel the burdens, the Lord gives grace and guidance to us, just as God showed favor upon Nehemiah when the time came.

Pastor Ron Mcintosh equips us with a strong word over a “Shift to a Revival.” Christians play a larger part in God’s plan than sitting in church every Sunday — each generation has a role to play! In the book of Judges, there is a distinction between those who listened to the voice of God and those who listened to the voice of culture. As believers, we are called to only obey God’s voice and to forgo the ways of society, clinging to the Word of God and the Holy Spirit. The dilemma that modern society finds itself in is one that the Body of Christ can take authority over and win for the glory of God. We cannot shy away from the spiritual awakening that God desires to bring into our world, rather, we need to ready ourselves with prayer and authority to be utilized. In this day, the Lord is searching out those who will play a part in His Kingdom’s army.

Pastor Dominic Russo challenges us with a word on living like a “Vanguard.” The story of a Roman general surprising Jesus with his faith gives us a clear picture of what it means to be a soldier in God’s Kingdom. But how do we know what kind of pioneers God needs?

Victory Church welcomed Banning Liebscher to receive a moving message about being “People of His Presence.” As believers, our basis for success can only be measured by the presence of God in our lives. In Exodus 33, we read about the decision Moses made to stay in the wilderness with God’s presence instead of entering the Promised Land without God’s presence. Some options in life are difficult to discern, but the choice to remain connected to the Father is not one we should wrestle with. We should always seek God’s presence over the Promised Land because the only thing we truly long for is the Lord’s touch.

How powerful is your faith? As Christians, our spiritual life is built upon the faith we have in Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit living within us. Our capacity to believe for miracles and divine order produces God’s promises in our everyday lives. Challenge your faith and expect God to do the impossible, no matter what your situation looks like. We know that God handles the outcome as we handle the obedience!
