Show Notes
American Dream is a new choral work by choir students at the Ramón C. Cortines School of Visual and Performing Arts, in collaboration with the Los Angeles Master Chorale. The piece, set for a free performance on March 25th, explores the American Dream from the early 20th century to todays immigration debates. The project, part of the Oratorio Project, allows students to engage with complex topics through music. For 16-year-old student Audrey Morales, whose family faces immigration challenges, the theme resonates deeply. Despite her skepticism about the American Dream, she believes in musics power to inspire hope and understanding.
