A transgender shopkeeper in Los Angeles faces repeated violent attacks from a twenty-three-year-old man, Paul Alan Thompson, who has now been charged with eleven felonies, including attempted murder. The attacks, which included sexual assault and hate crime enhancements, left the victim seriously injured. Thompson, who pleaded not guilty, is now in jail on two and a half million dollars bail.
