Show Notes

Two LAPD officers, Peter Mastrocinque and Nicole Grant, face charges for unemployment insurance fraud during the COVID-19 pandemic. They were arrested after an internal investigation revealed their claims for benefits in 2020 and 2021. The arrests were made by the departments Major Complaint Unit, which handles officer misconduct. Both officers were booked and released the same day. The probe began in 2023 by the Los Angeles County District Attorneys Office. They are charged with insurance fraud and filing false statements on benefit applications. The officers, who work at the Newton Division, are now on administrative leave while the case progresses.
