Santa Monicas City Council appoints local poet Jay Baldwin as the citys second poet laureate, a role hell fill for two years. Born and raised in Santa Monica, Baldwin will write an original poem annually, lead workshops, and organize events, starting with a community poem crafting at the main library on April 11th. Hell also receive a $10,000 honorarium to support his work.
