Burbank drivers, brace for major I-5 closure this weekend! Essential pavement replacement work will reduce southbound lanes to two between Cohasset Street and Empire Avenue/San Fernando Boulevard from Friday 10 p.m. to Monday 5 a.m. Expect full closures at Hollywood Way and Empire Avenue from 1-5 a.m. Saturday and Monday, with off-ramps and on-ramps also shut down. Detours and delays expected. Project, part of a $23.2M effort by Security Paving Company, to finish by summer 2027.
