Show Notes

A woman accused of mishandling newborns in a Surrey hospitals neonatal unit breached her bail terms and is back in custody. Lindsey Hirtreiter, who was arrested last October for giving skin-to-skin contact to three babies, was released on bail with conditions including staying away from babies and neonatal units in British Columbia. However, she violated these conditions by not being at the addiction recovery center where she was supposed to live. Police picked her up on a warrant and she is now awaiting a hearing where bail could be reconsidered.
