B.C. Ferries Island K’asa, the tenth and final Island Class ferry, has been launched in Romania, marking a significant milestone in updating their aging fleet. This hybrid-powered vessel, named after the otter, will serve the Quadra Island to Campbell River route, offering increased passenger and vehicle capacity, improved reliability, and reduced emissions. Four more Island Class ferries are set to join service, making this the companys largest fleet class.
