Show Notes
Over eighty human rights and sports advocacy groups are urging the International Olympic Committee to abandon plans for universal genetic sex testing on female athletes and a blanket ban on transgender and intersex competitors in womens events. These measures, which could harm privacy and roll back progress on gender equity, are reportedly at odds with the IOCs own framework on fairness and inclusion. The IOC has not confirmed the recommendations, which are set to be shared in the first half of 2026.
