Dr. Allison Alford is a communication researcher, keynote speaker, and the founder of Daughtering 101 and her debut book Good Daughtering gives a name to something millions of women have been doing their entire lives without ever getting credit for it. Daughtering is the invisible labor, the emotional heavy lifting, the crisis management, the deep breath before you answer the phone and the even deeper one after you hang up.
