He’s arrested but God restores him in prison. He is a chaplain and counselor to addicts before he dies of cancer.</p>

He repeatedly goes into rehab. He believes in God, tries church at 17, marries out of guilt and then turns against God when his wife leaves him for another man. He marries again at 19, and they have a son. But David can’t control his drinking. Drunk driving leads to jail. His dad dies of cancer before David can show love, leading to guilt. He and his brother quarrel and David stabs him as the first part ends.</p>

After a fight with his dad, he looks at his life and wants God. He drives his wife and son 80 miles on a gallon of gas to hear a preacher he’s heard on the radio and is saved.</p>

For 25 years they live in the U.S., serving in spite of illness and setback. They return to the Philippines to serve, but more illness interferes. When Communism falls in Eastern Europe, Tom returns to Czechoslovakia where he obtains citizenship, serves as a missionary and links up with his past.</p>

After his brother is killed in World War II, he becomes bitter at God. His sister reminds him that if he had been killed, he’d be in hell. He finally yields to God and eventually becomes an evangelist.</p>

<p>As the youngest child of four, Michelle endures a childhood of abandonment, cruelty and fear. Her mother attempts suicide; her sister is raped and Michelle lives with one person after another. At sixteen she gets pregnant and has an abortion. She keeps the second baby after her sister helps her, but she and her boyfriend don’t marry. The whole family uses drugs, but sister, Anna, gets saved and persuades the other two sisters to go to church. Michelle reads passages in the Bible, goes back to church and prays for salvation. When she gets pregnant again, she realizes she cannot marry her boyfriend who rejects Christ. Through Anna she meets and marries a believer.</p>

<p>Bob is born blind, and his mother dies in childbirth so his deaf but godly grandmother raises him to age 11. Then he goes to a school for the blind. He meets another blind boy and they play and sing country music together. They record a song that sells millions, and Bob goes to California where he squanders his money. He returns to Chicago, teams up with his friend and they do well. He meets Francis in a restaurant, they marry but he doesn’t change. When she becomes ill he prays for her. People invite him to revival then pray for Francis. When she’s well she goes to revival and is saved. He ultimately receives Christ, leaves his singing career and joins the staff at PGM.</p>

<p>His parents divorce when Chris is ten and his mother falls out with the church. At eleven his stepfather tells him he must work and leave home at 18. The mixed family is troublesome and his mother seeks God. She is saved while Chris works at a Burger King. There he meets Pat, a thrill-seeker who tries car surfing and falls. Chris does CPR but his friend dies. Chris is devastated, seeks counseling that doesn’t help his panic attacks. The first part ends when he prays for salvation with his mother’s pastor.</p>

He goes to the newsman who gives him a job but he can’t escape the memories. He walks by Pacific Garden Mission, gets saved and begins helping other guys on the street. One of them robs and shoots him.</p>

<p>While making methamphetamine, Rodney is set on fire. A neighbor takes him to the hospital where he recovers. The pastor of the Christian rehab visits, and Rodney goes there when he’s released. He finishes the course, lives with his dad and has many opportunities to witness for Christ. He finishes college, writes a book and becomes pastor of a church. He counsels Jennifer, a former drug addict, and they marry. Now in ministry.</p>

Diagnosed as manic-depressive, she is in and out of the hospital for 15 years, wanders into parapsychology and fear. She runs away often. Finally, she cries out to God to save her and today, fifteen years later she is writing and recording Christian truth.</p>

<p>David and Norma marry after she finishes college. When he graduates from Bible college, they start a church near his family. His dad attends and professes faith. David gets his Master’s degree in theology and becomes department head at their old college. They witness to her family, but the brothers and dad resist. Norma develops Pulmonary Fibrosis, and David cares for her. Her brother, Harry, finally professes faith in Christ at 84 and dies just before Norma does. They keep the faith even through the ordeal of death.</p>

In graduate school he meets a Christian who leads him to Christ. David’s father professes faith in Christ before he dies of cancer. David follows Jeff to seminary but is rejected as a missionary. Now works as a consultant writing standardized tests.</p>

Then he’s arrested. In county jail he’s outraged by a preacher, reads the Bible and is convicted of sin. He prays for salvation, expects to be exonerated but gets 21 years. Susan faithfully visits him. He grows in faith, gets a seminary degree and leaves prison after 16 years. He and Susan marry and he is now in prison ministry.</p>
