Courtney Jones is a soccer player at Clemson University. Having experienced performance anxiety and injury in high school, she had the experience of utilizing a sport psychologist to address her athletic struggles. Through her time as a collegiate athlete she has had a great deal of success, but also has continued to experience injury. Depression and anxiety combined with her injury made for some tough times in college. Through her experiences, she found that she has a passion for mental health work, and will complete a master’s degree in clinical mental health in May, 2023. Her passion, her experience, and her pursuit of an education to become a licensed mental health provider will be such an asset to the athletes she helps in the future.
