On this episode, I will be talking about Taylor Lorenz' massive loss when it came to her huge hypocrisy of constantly talking about the negative consequences of online bullying/harassment (when it applies to her personally) yet going out of her way to doxx the person who owns the LibsOfTikTok account on Twitter. The LibsOfTikTok account is specifically devoted to screenrecording/screengrabbing posts from Leftists and posting them onto Twitter where people can easily access, en masse, Leftists' sheer insanity. But the account, quite literally, posts verbatim only what Leftists have already said themselves. There is no reframing or altering of the posts. There is only exposure. This goes to show that the Left isn't just threatened by alternate ways of viewing things and free speech, but they are deathly afraid even of their own words, from their own people, getting out into the "wrong" hands and ears. On this episode, I will be discussing the Parental Rights in Education bill that just passed in Florida. The Left has been erroneously calling this the "Don't Say Gay" bill, but nowhere in this 7-page bill (that you can easily access at myfloridahouse.gov) does it say the words "don't say gay." This is not a bill that is an attack on the LGBTQ+ community. It is a bill that defends parental rights in the school system (that parents give a ton of money to via taxes by the way) and protects tiny children (3rd graders and younger) from having to defend their not even yet developed sexualities. This bill is anti-pedophile, anti-grooming, and anti-predator -- sadly, many on the political Left just can't seem to bring themselves to get behind something like that. On this episode, we will be discussing the musical artist, Neil Young's cancellation of himself (yes, actually) when he delivered an ultimatum to Spotify and demanded that the streaming platform either delete Joe Rogan's podcast (yes, the same Joe Rogan Spotify paid $100M to in a licensing deal) or remove Neil's music altogether. Spotify clearly sided with Joe Rogan (and free speech/expression) and now Young's music has been removed from the platform. This whole fiasco is fascinating to me, but what is most intriguing about this is that Cancel Culture has taken a swift and unpredicted turn into literal self-cancellation. Neil Young would rather lose out on money and exposure than hear a viewpoint that he disagrees with -- the guy is literally cancelling himself over not being able to handle -- not even listening to -- but just knowing that someone else has a different opinion from him. Ahoy there! On this episode, I interview Angus Williams, Founder and Executive Director of the Earhart Club, which is an organization serving the community by bringing girls and their mothers together in order to better understand one another (and thereby building stronger relationships between each other). The Earhart Club is named after Amelia Earhart (the first female aviator to fly solo across the Atlantic Ocean) and focuses on teaching young girls to find (and keep) their individual voices/passions. The Earhart Club's slogan is "Developing Forces for Awesomeness" and their three pillars are Curiosity, Understanding, and Values -- all vital factors in creating strong, self-assured girls who will grow up into strong, self-assured women. Angus and I will do a deep dive into the differences between "knowing" someone and genuinely understanding them; which are quite separate things. Angus will then tell us about the Earhart Club's 10-week after school program, what exactly they do, statistics on how they've seen mother/daughter relationships improve, and how mothers and daughters can get involved with the organization. We will also discuss how individuality and community work together; strong individuals build strong communities, and vice versa. Ultimately, true closeness and connectivity rely on empathy, compassion, and authentic understanding.
