Summer with the Prophets 2: Zechariah

All of Christ for all of life. As Abraham Kuyper famously said at a university opening in 1880, “There is not a square inch in the whole domain of our human existence over which Christ, who is Sovereign over all, does not cry, ‘Mine!’” Where have you let the world around us convince you to keep your faith to yourself? Learn from Zechariah the scope of God’s sovereignty over all of human existence, what he asks of us, and how we can repent and return to him. Men Devoted

At this men's monthly gathering, we covered Ezra chapters 7-10 and we finally get to meet Ezra. We learn here that Ezra 'had devoted himself to study the Law of the Lord and to practice it, and to teach his statutes and ordinances in Israel.' We also see how Ezra addressed a dangerous sin that had cropped up again in the people of Israel. Are you ready to take the challenge to study, practice, and teach God's word and to root out the sin in your life that can separate you from God?

=============================

Uncharted: Channel Credits

=============================

🎙️ HOST:: Chris Goble, Chris Hines, Matt Winter

🎛️ PRODUCTION + MIXING:: Lepard Productions

🎨 CREATIVE DIRECTOR:: Colin McFarland

A Product of Lepard Productions + The Mission Hills Podcast Network in Littleton, CO.

© Mission Hills Church - All Rights Reserved

Why Go To Church?

Many today reject that being part of a local church is necessary for the Christian life. Nothing could be further from the truth. In this episode, we address why being part of a church is not only important but required for followers of Jesus; as well as some practical steps you can take to make this a priority for your family. If you are wondering how to deepen your faith, get closer to Jesus, and start taking action...start by getting involved in your local church.

=============================

Uncharted: Channel Credits

=============================

🎙️ HOST:: Chris Hines, Matt Winter

🎉 SPECIAL GUESTS:: Chris Goble

🎛️ PRODUCTION + MIXING:: Lepard Productions

🎨 CREATIVE DIRECTOR:: Colin McFarland

A Product of Lepard Productions + The Mission Hills Podcast Network in Littleton, CO.

© Mission Hills Church - All Rights Reserved

Scott Mitchell joins us to discuss our experiences with studying the Bible. Getting in God's word is crucial to developing and growing our relationship with God and there is real value in committing to a regular study with others. If you are looking for a men's study, you can find them in the show notes, we even have an online study available for those that may not be local to Colorado.

=============================

Uncharted: Channel Credits

=============================

🎙️ HOST:: Chris Hines, Matt Winter

🎉 SPECIAL GUESTS:: Scott Mitchell

🎛️ PRODUCTION + MIXING:: Lepard Productions

🎨 CREATIVE DIRECTOR:: Colin McFarland

A Product of Lepard Productions + The Mission Hills Podcast Network in Littleton, CO.

© Mission Hills Church - All Rights Reserved

Ezra + Nehemiah: How Do We Rebuild Faith in a Faithless Time?

In our 2024 Men's Monthly Meeting series we'll be going through the books of Ezra and Nehemiah to explore the question of how do we rebuild faith in a faithless time. In this first meeting of 2024, we had a packed house and Chris Goble shared some of the history of Israel that led to their exile wrapping up with the first part of the book of Ezra. We meet at the North Littleton campus on the third Wednesday of each month.

=============================

Uncharted: Channel Credits

=============================

🎙️ HOST:: Chris Goble, Chris Hines, Matt Winter

🎛️ PRODUCTION + MIXING:: Lepard Productions

🎨 CREATIVE DIRECTOR:: Colin McFarland

A Product of Lepard Productions + The Mission Hills Podcast Network in Littleton, CO.

© Mission Hills Church - All Rights Reserved

Life Chapters

If you were asked to write a book about your life, probably the easiest part would be figuring out the chapter titles and breakdowns. It’s not hard for any of us to remember distinct seasons of our lives. There would be chapters of hurt and others of joy and victory. In this episode, we’ll discuss the chapters in our lives that have made us the men we are today. Justin talks chapters with his friend Christian Nielsen whom he met in performing arts years ago. They’ll talk through messy and powerful chapters of life and how God used it all. Then we’ll do a fun "chapters" movie draft where the guys draft movie franchises.

=============================

Uncharted: Channel Credits

=============================

🎙️ HOST:: Justin Adams, Colin McFarland, Danny Oertli

🎉 SPECIAL GUEST:: Christian Nielsen, Zac Anderson, Tyler Wells

🎛️ PRODUCTION + MIXING:: Lepard Productions

🎨 CREATIVE DIRECTOR:: Colin McFarland

A Product of Lepard Productions + The Mission Hills Podcast Network in Littleton, CO.

© Mission Hills Church - All Rights Reserved

Raising Up the Next Generation of Men

How do we influence the future? Are we raising up kids to be adolescent elephants rampaging against truth? Or sharpened arrows fired against the enemy? Are you imitating Christ in a way that you would want the next generation to imitate you? What legacy are you creating? Our kids will fight fights we will never see and win glory in the Lord's name long after we are gone. Join us in this episode as we venture into God's design for Fatherhood and Legacy Relationships.

=============================

Uncharted: Channel Credits

=============================

🎙️ HOST:: Chris Goble, Chris Hines, Matt Winter

🎛️ PRODUCTION + MIXING:: Lepard Productions

🎨 CREATIVE DIRECTOR:: Colin McFarland

A Product of Lepard Productions + The Mission Hills Podcast Network in Littleton, CO.

© Mission Hills Church - All Rights Reserved

Biblical Manhood in Marriage

How do we relate to our wives? Fellas, you do not have to be married to get something out of this message. In this episode, we traverse the terrain of marriage and our responsibility in it. This has greater implications for our relationships--not only with our wives--but with all the women in our lives as we strive to be Men of God.

=============================

Uncharted: Channel Credits

=============================

🎙️ HOST:: Chris Goble, Chris Hines, Matt Winter

🎛️ PRODUCTION + MIXING:: Lepard Productions

🎨 CREATIVE DIRECTOR:: Colin McFarland

A Product of Lepard Productions + The Mission Hills Podcast Network in Littleton, CO.

© Mission Hills Church - All Rights Reserved

Biblical Manhood in Relationships

What does Biblical Manhood look like in our closest relationships? While we often follow in the footsteps of our father, Adam, by being passive, unengaged, shallow, phony, and distracted, we strive to be better. Christ is redeeming our relationships one interaction at a time. Explore what it means for men to be Authentic and Available as we live out our calling as redeemed men.

=============================

Uncharted: Channel Credits

=============================

🎙️ HOST:: Chris Goble, Chris Hines, Matt Winter

🎛️ PRODUCTION + MIXING:: Lepard Productions

🎨 CREATIVE DIRECTOR:: Colin McFarland

A Product of Lepard Productions + The Mission Hills Podcast Network in Littleton, CO.

© Mission Hills Church - All Rights Reserved

How And Where Did It All Go Wrong?

What happened to all the men? In the last episode, we explored God’s original design for men. But we look around today and wonder why we don’t see that vision played out today. What happened between God’s creation and today’s men? In this episode, we traverse the terrain of Genesis 3—the Fall—as we investigate: what went wrong? What happened to all the men?

=============================

Uncharted: Channel Credits

=============================

🎙️ HOST:: Chris Goble, Chris Hines, Matt Winter

🎛️ PRODUCTION + MIXING:: Lepard Productions

🎨 CREATIVE DIRECTOR:: Colin McFarland

A Product of Lepard Productions + The Mission Hills Podcast Network in Littleton, CO.

© Mission Hills Church - All Rights Reserved

Masculinity in God's Design

Welcome to a brand-new feed on the Uncharted Podcast! Early in 2023, we started a new Men’s Gathering that meets once a month. This feed consists of the teachings from those gatherings. Whether you are brand new to Mission Hills, or if you are just here to re-listen to something you’ve already heard, welcome! In this first episode, we explore masculinity as God designed it, in the beginning, before the Fall messed it all up. Travel back to Genesis 1 and 2 with us as we discover God’s original intent for men and why that matters for men today.

=============================

Uncharted: Channel Credits

=============================

🎙️ HOST:: Chris Goble, Chris Hines, Matt Winter

🎛️ PRODUCTION + MIXING:: Lepard Productions

🎨 CREATIVE DIRECTOR:: Colin McFarland

A Product of Lepard Productions + The Mission Hills Podcast Network in Littleton, CO.

© Mission Hills Church - All Rights Reserved

Fear is the Path to the Dark Side

Snakes. Sharks. Clowns. Heights. They all have something in common: fear. You may not be afraid of clowns, but we all have things in our lives that derail us from who God wants us to be and fear is often the common denominator. In this episode, we’re going to have some fun and also get serious. We’re going to talk about ridiculous phobias that people live their lives with, but we’re also going to delve into Travis’ story. Travis, almost died fighting his fears and his is an amazing story of perseverance and God’s grace. You don’t want to miss it!

=============================

Uncharted: Channel Credits

=============================

🎙️ HOST:: Justin Adams, Colin McFarland, Danny Oertli

🎉 SPECIAL GUEST:: Travis Kacker, Zac Anderson, Tyler Wells

🎛️ PRODUCTION + MIXING:: Lepard Productions

🎨 CREATIVE DIRECTOR:: Colin McFarland

A Product of Lepard Productions + The Mission Hills Podcast Network in Littleton, CO.

© Mission Hills Church - All Rights Reserved

The Importance of Having Someone That Believes In You

We've all had people in our lives that with a word, have changed us for the worse or for the better. In this episode, we explore the power of belief- who gave it to us and how we can in turn, give it away. Marriage Is So Great/Challenging

Marriage is one of the most rewarding experiences in life but it also is a lot of hard work. We weren’t created for marriage, rather we find that marriage was made for us. The picture of Jesus and his bride (the church) lived out in a day-to-day balance of dying to self and service.

In this episode, join Justin, Colin, and Danny as we talk through life lessons in relationships that helped us understand what God was directing us each to in our own marriages. After that, Justin hosts his good friend Brett Winingham in studio who shares amazing stories of transformation in his own life through his marriage. Then, you won’t want to miss an epic “Rom-Com” draft as Tyler and Zac join Justin and Colin in a battle for the ages.

=============================

Uncharted: Channel Credits

=============================

🎙️ HOST:: Justin Adams, Colin McFarland, Danny Oertli

🎉 SPECIAL GUEST:: Zac Anderson, Brett Winingham, Tyler Wells

🎛️ PRODUCER:: Andrew Lepard

🎨 CREATIVE DIRECTOR:: Colin McFarland

A Product of the Mission Hills Podcast Network in Littleton, CO.

© Mission Hills Church - All Rights Reserved

ALASKA, FELLOWSHIP, + LEANING INTO 2023

First off, thank you so much for your patience with us through this tumultuous 2022. We haven’t talked to you in a while so we’ve jam-packed this episode.

At the top Justin, Colin, and Danny recount their adventure to Alaska with Zac Anderson, the time spent in the backcountry, and the lessons learned from isolation and peace. Then, Colin is joined by Chris Goble and Matt Winter to talk about the future of Men’s Ministry here at Mission Hills Church along with what makes a healthy Men’s Ministry at any church in today’s age. And we cap off 2022 with an Adventure Movie draft! Stick around for all of this excellent content, and as always, thanks for listening.

LEANING INTO GOD WHEN LIFE SUCKS

Sometimes ministry can be hard, people can be hard, and where God is leading us can be confusing. Today we have hosts Justin and Colin kicking off the episode by giving you a behind-the-scenes peek into what ministry looks like on the M-F grind. Stay tuned as Justin calls one of his best friends in the world (all the way from South Africa), Jason Zeeman. Jason and Justin talk about everything from trusting God in hard times, to dealing with tough people when ministry seems bleak, burnout, and a whole lot more. And don't miss a return to our Rushmore Segment as Zac Anderson jumps on to break down from Thriller movies. A great summertime listen!

REDESIGN, RETELLING, + A "SPIN"

On today's episode, we're continuing our focus on STORY. Specifically, how old stories are still relevant today. Colin, Danny, and Justin are joined by Craig as they go through a deep dive on what goes into sermon series planning, how the Bible is still relevant today, the different types of preaching styles and topics and so much more. We really wanted to focus on bridging that gap between non-Christians' arguments on how "The Bible is old and doesn't have anything to say about today's problems or what I'm going through in this modern age." Stay tuned for the end of the episode as we do a fun movie draft focused on Shakespeare adaptations and what that means to modern movie watchers. You're not going to want to miss this episode, as always, thanks for tuning in.

WHY STORY MATTERS

Welcome back to our March episode of Uncharted we continue to pursue the theme of STORY. Today join Colin, Danny, and Justin while they talk about the importance of story in their lives, how it applies to the Biblical life focus, and why we're so drawn to it. We want this to be a place where you can share your stories and relate to the everyday lives of those that you're listening to. Stick around for the end of the episode as well where we invite Zac, Chris, and Tyler on to the podcast to do a Movie Festival Draft. We love stories here and movies are an incredible medium for them. This is a long one, but fun one.

That's right, we're diving back into the complex topic of modern masculinity, how it relates to our identity in Christ, and what that topic looks like in the modern church. It is an important continuation on a very intensive topic and we want to continue to lead this conversation on the church’s traditional views of manhood. Listen in as Colin and Micah are joined by Chris Goble and Matt Winter today to discuss what should be at the center of our identities.

And stick around for the second half of Today's episode as Colin, Tyler, and Chris take on 1996 in our latest THE DRAFT segment.
