Unbreakable is a bold, gripping and revelatory digital film and audio podcast series hosted by Nina Aouilk, a life coach and survivor of a childhood marked by extreme and disturbing abuse.
In each episode, Nina sits face-to-face with female and male survivors of violent and abusive crime, creating a safe space for them to share not just the pain of their experiences, but also the incredible journeys they took to escape. The emotional, frank and often harrowing testimony explores lives coloured by experiences ranging from trafficking as sex workers and within armed gangs, to domestic violence and female genital mutilation. Each story offers unparalleled insight into the pathway that led them into such dark circumstances and through the other side.
As each victim recounts their story, Nina’s valuable insight brings the contributor and audience closer, delivering a clear perspective on the dynamics of the crime and the climate of fear and desperation endured.
