Jase appoints Missy as the cloud in their relationship, because he relies on her for technology and her organizational skills. Al and Jase reflect on Phil's only rule growing up: "Don't you ever disrespect your mother." Phil asks why the devil would specifically target masculinity in America, and Jase recalls Phil's younger days, when his philosophy was centered on being physically tough and running barefoot through trees and rocks without showing pain.
