Mobley left Friday's 130-126 win over the Washington Wizards after feeling tightness in his left calf and underwent an MRI to determine the severity of the injury. Hehad recorded 23 points, 13 rebounds and 6 assists in over 36 minutes before exiting the game. The 24-year old Mobley leads the Cavaliers in rebounds (9.3 per game) and blocks (1.6) and is second in scoring (19.1) behind Donovan Mitchell through 25 games. They are stacked again, featuring four players who have each made at least one All-Star team: Donovan Mitchell, Evan Mobley, Darius Garland and Jarrett Allen. (Garland required offseason toe surgery, but participated in a 5-on-5 practice this week and is nearing a return.) They replaced their Sixth Man of the Year candidate, Ty Jerome, with Lonzo Ball, adding the former No. 2 overall pick to a wing rotation that includes De'Andre Hunter, Max Strus (who will miss the start of the season), Dean Wade and Sam Merrill. There is some overlap on the ball between Mitchell and Garland in the backcourt, though the former ceded some control of the offense last season, and it worked to great success. Jaylon Tyson called out his teammates after the Cleveland Cavaliers loss to the Boston Celtics on Sunday night. He backed that up by delivering the best performance of his career on Monday against the Pacers. The Cleveland Cavaliers knocked off the Indiana Pacers 135-119. Let’s see who won and lost the night. Not only did this light a fire under Donovan Mitchell and company — but Tyson himself came out like he had something to prove. He scored 27 points on 10-13 shooting, grabbed 11 rebounds (including five offensive), created out of the short roll for 4 assists, and racked up 2 steals in 30 minutes. The sophomore wing turned in a nearly flawless game just when the Cavs needed it most. His three-point jumper has been sweet all season, and now, he’s becoming more emboldened as a ball-handler. Tyson created a handful of plays from scratch and has a knack for finding open teammates. Most of all, he’s a brute force of nature on the glass.
