Route 55 The Road to Nowhere
The history of Route 55 starts tragic and continues to be tragic. The construction of the road goes right through an American Indian burial ground. The state was asked to move the road by 3 miles to avoid it, the state refused. The tribe warned them that they would be responsible for the horrors that followed.
