The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program, run by the United Way of Tucson and Southern Arizona, offers free tax filing assistance at Old Vail Middle School in Vail. This service is open to households earning $89,000 or less annually, excluding active-duty military, foreign students, and those filing as married filing separately. Volunteers provide guidance on recent changes, like tipped worker reporting, and offer tips for next years planning. Help is available Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5-8 PM and Saturdays from 9 AM-2 PM.
