Johann "Jack" Unterweger was abandoned by his mother at a young age and raised by his alcoholic grandfather. He quickly turned to violence and theft and was in and out of jail for most of his teen years before he committed his first murder. He is a well known author and even wrote and award winning autobiography while he was in prison on a murder charge. He was eventually pardoned of the charge and let out of prison after only serving 15 years of his life sentence. He claimed he was a changed man and had learned his lesson. Edmund Emil Kemper, or "Big Ed" as he was known to local police, was a serial killer in Santa Cruz, California in the 1970's. He was doomed from the beginning. Committing his first murder at the age of 15, Edmund killed a total of 10 people in his life, including his paternal grandparents and his mother. He was very gruesome with his murders and he definitely had a routine. I will say, if you are triggered by sexual assault or anything of that nature, skip this one because it does get pretty gross.
